Happy March to all you lovely readers - may it be full of pastels, champagne and velvet daybeds. Now pour yourself a nice cup of tea, settle down somewhere comfortable (clearly a velvet daybed is preferable), and take a little wander around our latest lazy links......

Another ridiculously pretty and easy look from St Lisa of Eldridge - soft biscuit and coral shades a la Clemence Poesy.

This list of the top twenty selling perfumes in France for 2011 is slightly disappointing and not nearly as cliched as it should be - where's the Chanel?

Lipstick Fridays is hosting a lovely NARS giveaway, which I suggest you enter, because you can never, EVER have too much NARS.

On a sadder note,
Marcel Nars, the adorable French Bulldog that graced many campaigns with his charming face and bold fashion sense, has passed away - our condolences go out to his loved ones and fans, who we're sure were many.

How do you feel about your nose? A little too large? A bit crooked? Read our latest piece for
She Said Beauty, and be thankful for what you've got. Also, small noses are annoying.

After intially being underwhelmed, we've suddenly discovered the magic of the
AHA Resurfacing Concentrate from REN's new Radiance line. The forthcoming review will be glowing and rather plump, just like our skin.

The lovely girls over at Free to be Natural and Lipstick Fridays have both nominated The Blossom Shed for their Versatile Blogger Award - thank you both for being so sweet and having clearly excellent taste in reading material.

Do you know why we post so rarely? Because we're always on bloody
Pinterest. Follow The Blossom Shed's boards and we can all waste time looking at gorgeous things together.

Surely nothing in the world could be better than green tea ice cream, but we may make
Domestic Sluttery's Matcha tea loaf anyway just to be sure...

In honor of National Book Day (which is ridiculous, because every day should be book day), peruse the
world's twenty most beautiful bookstores. We've decided to secretely move into the one in Buenos Aires and pitch a small tent. Shh. Don't tell anyone.

And finally, let us introduce you to our favorite beauty blog, a site like no other, the wierd and wonderful
Facegoop. Prepare yourself for their magnificence, and enjoy.

Believe it or not, I had planned on talking about Golden Globes dresses this week, but then it all got boring, and nothing blew me away, and they do it all SO much better over at Go Fug Yourself, so that was that. I didn't write anything, and had another cookie, and forgot all about it. I don't think I've ever been so desperate for the weekend before, so let's all relax, have a drink and a little mosey 'round some lovely links....

The Library Phantom Returns! It's hard to live up to a headline like that, but read on and marvel, because it does.

Did you know that The Blossom Shed is on Twitter? It's true. I've finally figured out how to work it. Sort of.

The Nars Spring Collection is finally here. It's not what I would call terribly cohesive.

However I dare you not to become completely smitten with Bobbi Brown's punchy neons.

For some strange reason, the lovely Erika of Fashion Chalet is GIVING AWAY Balenciaga bags. She must be insane, but enter anyway.

These shorts WILL be mine. As soon as it warms up a bit.

Looking for the perfect winter fragrance? Here's four lovely ones for any mood, chosen by yours truly.

Need a refresher on season one, or to catch up on last week's episode? Read Hello Giggle's hilarious rundowns of Downton Abbey here.

All caught up? Now make a Downton Abbey cake!

Don't worry, this happens every year when Masterpiece season comes around. I get overexcited and have a fit if I'm not home and snuggled up on the sofa by six on Sunday evenings. Just wait until the Dickens start - that's when I go ALL out.

Much as I would prefer a real tiny little white owl in my tree for Xmas, I suppose I could accept this Fluffy Owl Ornament instead. I shall name it Sven, and carry it around in my handbag.

Are you (like me) hopeless at applying anything more difficult than mascara and lipgloss? Watch Lisa Eldridge's charming and idiot-proof videos - I've wasted a lot of time this week, watching smokey eye and contouring tutorials when I should have been working. Also, she's my new girl crush. Let's be pals Lisa! You can do the makeup, and I'll make the drinks.

I need these boots, and will wear them until they fall to pieces.

Ditto this sweater. Elbow patches!

A handy-dandy eye cream cheat sheet from Beauty Mouth - for those like me, who become befuddled by all the options out there.

The wonderful Smitten Kitchen has a recipe for Sweet Potato and Marshmallow Biscuits. Sweet lord, why has no one ever thought of this before? I have the oven already preheated.

Stumped for gift ideas? How could anyone not LOVE a pretty package from Lush?

Le Blow's brilliant guide to surviving Christmas - including how to expertly remove unwanted carollers with a toy gun.

Texts from Avonlea - remember Avonlea? We were OBSESSED in my household.I'm pretty sure I wore a pinafore. Often. Is it any wonder the way turned out?

Be a doll and like The Blossom Shed on Facebook - it needs some friends.

Now if you'll excuse me, there's a hot water bottle and a Downton Abbey rerun with my name on it. See you Monday with some new reviews - there's scents, skincare and makeup galore on the way, xoxo.

I'm too lazy lounging in bed with my poodle to write, so just some links today. Coincidentally, I actually look EXACTLY like this when I wake up in the mornings. Except my poodle is black and has most of last night's dinner dried on her chin, and my makeup is somewhat less perfect. Otherwise, EXACTLY alike.

Paul and Joe Beauty continues to taunt my poverty with their gorgeous holiday collection.

The perfect pair of colorful flats. I want a pair in every color.

I need THIS. Immediately. I'll never have to brush my hair again, and I'll still look cool and mysterious.

Finally, someone has found me that brilliant Royal Tenenbaums wallpaper for my fantasy smoking room/library.

Who lives in those creepy, modern design homes? Unhappy hipsters do.

Watch this video to a) get great, retro curls, and b) enjoy the lovely host's adorable accent and how she says "wintage".

Because what's good as a drink is even better as a cupcake - sluttishly-easy Dark and Stormy cupcakes from the sublime Domestic Sluttery.

I consider this a charmingly knit homage to Brandon Flowers a must-have item. I'm waiting for it to go on sale.

Cheerio until next time, xoxo
